£55,000-60,000 - dependent on experience
From Department Architect to Head of Function. Lead the Commercial and Operational Evolution of Spacemade Events.

Spacemade is scaling its events business, and we need a commercially driven leader to own the entire vertical. This is a high-impact, senior role created to bring event sales and operations under a single, accountable head. You won’t just be closing deals; you will be building a high-performing team and a scalable framework across our six-venue portfolio.
You will be:
A Confident, Credible Closer: Someone who has sold large-scale, high-value events at pace and scale, comfortable leading complex negotiations to a signed contract.
A Strategic People Leader: Ready to manage and develop a team of three - including a Meetings & Events Sales Manager and two Community Events Managers - building a culture of accountability.
A Data-Led Commercial Operator: Performance-oriented and able to use data to optimise yield, pricing, and utilisation across both events and meeting rooms.
An Operational Standards-Setter: Someone with the operational understanding to oversee H&S compliance, risk management, and vendor networks (AV, catering, etc.).
A Proactive Hunter: Equipped with strong outbound capability to build a pipeline from scratch and unlock new market opportunities.
Your Focus:
Revenue Strategy: Own the events revenue strategy across all six venues, setting and delivering against ambitious targets.
Meeting Room Commercial Lead: Drive utilization, yield, and conversion for our premium meeting room product.
Key Account Management: Personally lead relationships with high-value corporate clients and agencies, driving growth through upselling and cross-selling.
Operations Oversight: Hold CEMs accountable to SOP and quality benchmarks, ensuring a seamless sales-to-operations handover.
Process Architecture: Build and refine scalable commercial processes, including contracting, CRM efficiencies, and performance reporting.
Skills & Knowledge:
Seasoned Background: You have demonstrable experience in senior venue or hospitality sales and a history of exceeding significant revenue targets and leading events operations.
Leadership: Demonstrable history of leading, coaching, and developing both commercial and operational teams.
Strategic Capability: Experience selling across a multi-site portfolio and managing third-party broker or agency partnerships.
